How good and what type of midfielder is Obiang ?

i confess i have not seen as much of him as id like too.
how good is he creatively and defensively please.
kouyate , song , noble where does pedro rate amongst our other options ?

Song has been better but he has often been too loose getting caught with the ball in dangerous positions.
I like Obiang and think he will get better & better as he gets more of a run of games. Been excellent in the last two though the ref yesterday seemed to take a dislike to him.
Once Lanzini & Kouyate are back we have a good mix of skill & workers

I don't agree on Song. I think he's been very good in recent matches in that anchor role. What I do agree on is that there doesn't seem to be an enthusiasm for him at the club, so I doubt he will be here next season.

I'm happy with any 2 out of Noble, Obiang and Kouyate, or all 3 if the circumstances suit. They all offter something different and compliment each other.
On the other hand, I think most of us will agree that Song has been a bit shit for the last 14 months. He doesn't deserve to start at the moment and is running out of chances.

If he plays in that more attacking role, he doesn't have to replace Song.

Away at Man City was for me man of the match, Adrian & Winston got the main praise. The job he did on Toure and Co was brilliant, the energy he showed in the cup midweek awesome.

Obiang - great squad player but not a patch on our Mark Noble.
Is that soppy cabbie cunt fordy still rating Song as our best midfielder?

I thought Sond did ok yesterday, his passing was better. Wouldn't keep him though.

He did play further forward today for a change, nice to see that. I think he's the sort of player who can put in a shift anywhere.

Eddie B - if they follow correct concussion procedure, it's at least 4 days.
Day 1 - light activity
Day 2 - moderate activity
Day 3 - sport specific non contact
Day 4 - full training
Any signs or symptoms from the concussion (headaches, dizziness, nausea etc) and they start again at day 1.....

Against Norwich at least, would not mind doing two (Obiang and Noble) in central midfield and Payet in the middle. (Is being on the wing burning him out ?)
Obiang definitely ahead of Song for me at the moment.

Very good in my view. Must say I was a supporter of Song every time but this lad is better. The key player though is Kayoute in a midfield of Noble (who worked his arse off last night), Obiang and Kayoute.
